Over the past week we've spent some time distributing Good News Postcards to every home in the village of Stanley. Stanley is home to what is probably Perthshire's finest beach, on the banks of the River Tay! Further along the river you'll also find Stanley Mill, which was built in the 1780s to produce textiles. It was adapted many times over the years, before eventually closing in 1989. Part of the Mill has now been converted into a flats and part of it has been transformed into an award winning Visitor's Centre.
The Bible of course explains that every one of us need to be converted if we're going to be fit for Heaven, because our constant failure to keep God's law disqualifies us. 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ, God's Son, suffered and died upon the cross to pay for our wrongdoings, and as a result, those who turn from their sins and by faith receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, are converted. The Bible says "if anyone is in Christ they are a new creature; old things have passed away... all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17) God is still radically transforming people's lives in Perthshire in 2018 and He can transform yours too. Please get in touch if you'd like to talk to someone about this further.
