St Johnstone returned to European action with a disappointing 2-1 defeat to visiting Lithuanian side FK Trakai last evening. We took the opportunity to distribute 1,500 St Johnstone themed Good News Postcards to supporters leaving the ground.
Our postcards showed the various destinations St Johnstone have travelled to in European competition over the years, including some very remote and distant parts of the continent. It's good to know that there's no place on earth where we are outwith the reach of God's love. Win, lose, or draw, there's always good news.

Today, our Good News Trailer made its first public appearance, at the Pitlochry Gala. Thankfully it stayed dry and we had an enjoyable time distributing free literature, bags, pens and dvds, as well as providing crafts and games for children.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello, and to those who worked hard to organise the event. Next to us in the park was the local football team running a 'beat the goalie' / 'penalty shoot out' competition. It was a reminder that each one of us has incurred a penalty by breaking God's laws throughout our lives, and how Jesus Christ took that penalty for us upon the cross. The good news is that if we turn from our sins and trust in Christ there is no longer any penalty for us to pay! Find out more here... We had a team of willing helpers to assist with the delivery of Good News postcards to every home in Pitlochry and the neighbouring hamlet of Moulin today.
Despite an overcast start to the day, the sun was shining over Loch Faskally by the time we headed home. We're now looking forward to being involved in the Pitlochry Gala Day tomorrow. So you think you know Perthshire like the back of your hand? Well prove it! We’ve put together a short video quiz to test your knowledge of some of Perthshire’s most famous places. Have a look, and let us know how many of the 10 locations you correctly identified! Answers are given at the end of the video, incase you get stuck! We rounded off our fortnight of activities in Methven by participating in the Methven Gala today. Due to the poor weather forecast it was moved to the village community centre, which was bustling with local people all afternoon.
It was a great opportunity to speak to people and give out free bags, pens and literature. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stall for a chat! Tonight was the grand finale of the Faith Factor Kids' Club in Methven and the Good News Hall was packed to capacity for a fun filled prizegiving! The children were rewarded for their attendance and enthusiasm over the last fortnight and it was great to see a number of parents and other relatives along too.
Over the two weeks the children have learnt about the importance of having faith in God. They also learnt two verses from the Bible off by heart. John 10:9 "Jesus said; I am the door, by me if anyone enters in they shall be saved." And also, John 14:6 "Jesus said; I am the way, the truth and the life, no-one comes to the Father but by me." We've had a great time with the children in Methven and hope to return soon to keep in touch with them all! We’ve just completed the first week of our special fortnight of activities in Methven, and have enjoyed welcoming a good crowd of people along to our Good News Hall, on Rorrie Terrace, each day. We’ve had a hall full of enthusiastic children with us every day at 4pm for our Faith Factor Kids’ Club. You can listen to their singing in the video below! We’ve also had adults with us at 7pm for our Good News Meetings and we’re now looking forward to doing it all again next week!
