We're now 6 weeks into our adventure in Mark's Gospel. Tonight we looked at Jesus' parable of the sower which revealed different responses from people who hear the Gospel. Some are careless hearers who reject the message, some are casual or compromising hearers who claim to believe, and some are committed hearers who truly believe. We looked at a very significant incident at the start of Mark chapter 2 where a paralysed man was brought to Jesus. We noticed how Jesus' priority was to deal with the man's spiritual problem of sin ahead of all the other problems he had, and how Jesus proved that He had the power to forgive the man's sins by also healing his paralysis.
