Tonight we completed Mark 14, which described how Jesus was completely rejected and abandoned by everyone in the lead up to His death on the cross.
Join us in the RDM Institute next Sunday at 7pm as we move into the penultimate chapter in Mark's Gospel, in which we read about Jesus' crucifixion. Yesterday marked 1 year since we started our activities in the village of Scone!
Having initially distributed contact cards along with an offer of free "Winter Warmer Packs", we commenced a regular Sunday evening event, Good News @ 7, in which the Bible is taught and discussed in an informal setting with tea and coffee served around tables. We also held a very well attended Christmas Carol Service, and an Easter Family Fun Day! It's been a great first year and we're now looking forward to the next one! With thanks to Robert Douglas Memorial Institute and everyone who's come along to our activities. The Good News @ 7 takes place at 7pm every Sunday night, and we'll have a special Christmas event again this year, at 7pm on Sunday 17th December. All in the RDM Institute, on Abbey Road, Scone! Everyone's welcome! Tonight at Scone we recommenced our journey with Jesus through Mark's Gospel. We learnt about the religious leaders' plan to have Jesus killed, events surrounding the Last Supper, and Jesus' predictions that all His followers would ultimately abandon Him.
Join us next week at 7pm at the RDM Institute if you are free! |
