Our Good News Trailer was used as a soup kitchen / food bank for the first time in Perth tonight. A team of Christians from Perth Gospel Hall were on hand to serve food and hot drinks and to distribute bags of groceries.
It was lovely to meet so many people and to spend a little time chatting, and to hand out some thought provoking literature about Christianity. We'll be back next Monday, same time (7.30-8.30pm), same place (across from St Catherines Square). Come along and see us!

It was a warm, wet and windy October's day for our return to Perth High Street with the Good News Trailer. We enjoyed the time we spent speaking to people from various parts of the world (Italians, Romanians, Polish, Syrians to name but a few...) and those from the local area as well.
We hope to be back in the town centre on Friday 10th November. Prior to that we hope to commence a weekly soup kitchen / food bank outreach to Perth's homeless community using the Good News Trailer in the Thimblerow Car Park across from St Catherine's Square on Monday 30th October - more info on that nearer the time! Today we started to distribute the second edition of the Methven Messenger. Over the next fortnight every home in the village will receive a copy of this little community magazine which contains a number of interesting articles.
We explore the reliability of the Bible, find out a little bit about the life and times of local woman, Audrey Ferguson, and learn some lessons from the War Memorials of Methven and Harrietfield. There's also a new recipe to try, a quiz to enter, and a free book giveaway to benefit from too. You can read the electronic version of the magazine here. Let us know what you think! |
