Tonight was the final session in our 5 week 'Christianity under the Microscope' series in Comrie. We've had an interesting time exploring the answers Christianity provides to big question like, 'Does God really exist?', 'Is the Bible reliable?' and 'Is there life after death?'
It was good to see local people from the village attending, along with others from various parts of Perthshire - Crieff, Methven, Perth, Bridge of Earn, Abernethy and Dunkeld. A weekly Bible class continues, every Friday at 7.30pm in the WRI Hall, Nurses Lane, Comrie, conducted by Jack Hay. Everyone is made very welcome and supper is served afterwards. Please get in touch if you would like more details.

The town was busy, and it was a pleasure to once again meet folk from various parts of the city and further afield. We had company near the trailer in the form of a local busker who sang a variety of songs throughout the day, including one by the late Johnny Cash. Johnny Cash famously sang many hymns, and following a visit to Israel in 1968 wrote a song about the Lord Jesus Christ entitled, "He turned the water into wine". The song focussed on some of the incredible miracles Jesus performed, which proved that He truly was the Son of God. Johnny Cash also sang a touching version of the old hymn, "Were you there when they crucified my Lord?" written about the most important day in history, when Christ died for our sins upon the cross, to provide forgiveness to all those who trust in Him. It's the world's best selling book, with billions of copies sold, but is the Bible a book we can really trust? And is it a book that's still relevant in 2017? Come along and find out! For more info, click here. Today we visited the picturesque village of St Fillans on the shores of Loch Earn. The sun was shining on the Silver Man statue in the Loch and the village was busy with tourists passing through. We spent a couple of hours distributing Good News Postcards and invitations to our Christianity Under the Microscope events in nearby Comrie.
