SCONE GOOD NEWS @ 7
Last night we looked at the question - "Why are there 4 Gospels in the Bible?" We noticed that each Gospel account paints a unique portrait of Jesus Christ from a different perspective... - Matthew presents Jesus as the Sovereign, focussing on His Authority. - Mark presents Jesus as the Servant, focussing on His Activity. - Luke presents Jesus as the Saviour, focussing on His Ability. - John presents Jesus as the Son of God, focussing on His Authenticity. Next week we'll be starting a new series following the story of Jesus through the Gospel of Mark. Come and join us next Sunday at 7pm at the RDM Institute in Scone for some refreshments and chat followed by a short Bible talk. ✝️ EASTER EXCLAMATIONS!
Last night in Scone we held a special Easter Sunday Good News @ 7, with an Easter Quiz, Bible Readings and short Easter message. We thought about 3 Easter Exclamations! - The Verdict of the People - "Away with Him!" - The Victory of the Saviour - "It is Finished!" - The Validation of the Angels - "He is Risen!" If you're in the area, join us next Sunday at 7pm when we'll be starting a new series of talks! Everyone's welcome! 😀 We had a really great morning at the RDM Institute in Scone for our Easter Family Fun Day! It was great to see so many people there!
THE FUTURE - 4) THE END
We rounded off our short series learning about Bible prophecy by considering some of the events right at the very end of God's programme for the future - the destruction of the old world, the dawning of the new world and the day of judgement. We also learnt about Colin's lifestory - how he became a Christian as a teenager having grown up in Glasgow and Ayrshire. 😃 If you're free, please come and join us next Sunday at 7pm in the RDM Institute in Scone. We've recently produced our first community magazine for Scone. You can read the Spring 2023 edition of The Signpost here. Printed copies will be distributed to around 3000 homes across Scone over the next couple of weeks.
Looking for a fun activity to do with the kids in Scone during the Easter holidays? Why not enjoy our Easter Mystery Trail, follow the clues, eliminate the suspects and find who is guilty of stealing all the Easter Eggs!
The trail takes around 1.5 hours and covers an area of around 2.5 miles, starting and finishing at the RDM Institute on Abbey Road. It's FREE of charge and there's a prize for every correct answer! Download the instructions here! Get in touch if you need more information! |
