This morning we were in the village of Errol, distributing good news postcards. Along with some lovely views over towards the River Tay, we also found an old graveyard with some stones containing some thought-provoking poems...

We encountered lots of ducks and a few dwarfs on day 1! Join us for an interesting, informal evening in the relaxed atmosphere of the Inveralmond Costa Coffee on Thursday 22nd August.
Come along from 7.20pm in time to order a drink and find a seat before the evening kicks off at 7.30pm. First drink is free and cakes are also provided! We'll have a fun quiz as an ice-breaker, then launch into a short, illustrated presentation on our subject for the evening "Christianity: What makes it unique?" in which we'll consider what makes the world's most followed faith different from all of the world's religions! There will then be time to discuss the subject and ask questions around the tables. This event will be ideal for those who perhaps aren't regular church attenders but would like to find out a little bit more about the Christian faith in a relaxed setting. Everyone will be made very welcome! Get in touch if you'd like to come, or just turn up on the night! In almost every town and village in Perthshire lies a monument commemorating men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice on the battlefield. Virtually no Perthshire community has escaped unscathed from the devastating effects of war during the last century. On the 11th of November each year we remember those who lost their lives to secure freedom and a future for others. As the famous words of Robert Laurence Binyon’s poem say “We will remember them…” Many of Perthshire’s war memorials contain Bible verses highlighting the value of personal sacrifice for the good of others. The most common is probably John 15:13 which records the words of Jesus Christ, “Greater love has no man than this; that a man lay down his life for his friends.” The reason these words are often chosen is because they are particularly poignant as shortly after saying them Jesus Himself would exemplify that kind of love when He gave His life upon the cross as a sacrifice for sins to provide freedom and a future in Heaven for those who trust in Him. On 4 Fridays in November we'll be in Crieff to share the good news of Jesus Christ. If you're free, please come and join us!
