Glenhelenbank, Luncarty

It was a beautiful day for our first ever visit to Glenhelenbank Residential Care Home in Luncarty. We were delighted to spend some time with the residents for a short service, singing some well known hymns and passing on a short thought for the day from the Bible. 

With Remembrance Sunday not far away, we spoke about the ultimate sacrifice that many thousands of soldiers have made on the battlefield over the years, including 40 from Luncarty who's names are inscribed on the memorial not far from the Home. 

We then spoke of the greatest of all sacrifices... when Jesus Christ, God's Son, voluntarily gave His life upon the cross for our sins. It was a sacrifice that can benefit us not only here and now, but for all eternity, if we turn from our sin and trust in Him.
