It seems we've returned to more traditional Scottish summer conditions with grey skies and persistant drizzle in Perthshire today! This afternoon was spent in the villages of Collace and Kinrossie. The church building at Collace is over 200 years old and was the first place where the renowned Andrew Bonar served God from 1838 to 1856. He was a close friend and the original biographer of the great revival preacher, Robert Murray McCheyne, best known for his work in Dundee. He was also the brother of Horatius Bonar, who wrote many hymns, some of which are still sung throughout the world today, such as "I heard the voice of Jesus say", "Go, labour on, spend and be spent", "Done is the work that saves", "Praise, praise ye the name of Jehovah, our God" and more...
